In machines and systems, wiring harnesses are central to power supply, signal transmission and communication. Their quality determines operational reliability, availability and the service life of the whole installation.

Powertune analyses the underlying conditions as early as the planning phase and manufactures cable assemblies that withstand vibration, dirt and harsh environments over their entire life cycle.

Application

Power, signals and data cleanly separated.

In machines and systems, power supply, control and communication run along the same cable routes. We assemble control, sensor and data cables, connection cables for drives and robotics as well as complete cable sets for drive technology. Where interference puts the signals at risk, we use shielded cables.

For sensors and Industry 4.0 applications we often use robust circular connectors such as M8, which keep the data flow permanently clean even under vibration.

Robotics & automation

For robot cells and automated lines.

In robot systems and automated production lines, cables are moved, twisted and subjected to cyclic loads over long periods. For such applications we choose cables that the manufacturer has released for the type of movement involved, and we assemble connection harnesses with multi-pole industrial connectors for the interface to the control cabinet.

From our extensive stock of special cables we produce samples and replacement requirements at short notice. With 3D design in EPLAN we plan the cable routing inside the machine before production starts. More on this under Development & design.

Designed for the life cycle of the installation.

Dirt, oil, cooling lubricants, vibration and moving axes put cables in mechanical engineering under heavy strain. That is why we clarify the operating conditions as early as the planning phase and select cables, connectors and protection to match.

Delivery

As a cable set, a wiring harness or an assembly.

We supply individual assembled cables, marked cable sets for the machine and the control cabinet as well as complete wiring harnesses. On request we build complete assemblies. For recurring demand we agree framework and call-off orders, scheduled through our MES and traceable without gaps.
