Privacy policy

97318 Kitzingen
Germany

2. General information on data processing
The protection of your personal data is important to us. We process personal data exclusively within the framework of the applicable statutory provisions, in particular the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), the German Federal Data Protection Act (BDSG) and other applicable data protection rules.
We only process personal data to the extent that this is necessary to provide a functioning website, to deal with your enquiries, to carry out pre-contractual measures or to fulfil legal obligations.
3. Hosting
Our website is hosted by IONOS SE, Elgendorfer Straße 57, 56410 Montabaur, Germany. When you visit our website, IONOS automatically collects and stores information in what are known as server log files. This may include the following data in particular:
- Website visited
- Date and time of access
- Volume of data transferred
- Browser type and browser version
- Operating system
- Referrer URL
- IP address
The processing takes place on the basis of Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR. Our legitimate interest lies in providing our website securely, stably and efficiently.
4. Server log files
When our website is called up, information is automatically transmitted to our server by the browser of your device and stored temporarily in log files. This data is processed exclusively to ensure technical operation, to analyse faults and to safeguard system security. This data is not merged with other data sources.
5. Project enquiry and contact
If you send us a project enquiry using the enquiry form, we process the details you provide: your request, name, company, e-mail address, telephone number, quantity, desired date and project description. In addition there are the files you upload and (if you use the function) your wiring harness sketch. We use this data exclusively in order to deal with your enquiry, to prepare a quotation and to contact you.
We store the enquiry in the database of our website and the files in a protected directory on the server of our hosting provider IONOS. Uploaded files are buffered there as soon as they are uploaded, so that they can be transmitted together with the enquiry. We receive a notification by e-mail about every new enquiry. Until you send it, your browser keeps your entries and the sketch in its local storage (session storage and local storage), so that nothing is lost.
If you contact us by e-mail or by telephone, we likewise process the details you provide only in order to deal with your request.
The legal basis is Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR (carrying out pre-contractual measures). If your enquiry does not serve to initiate a contract, the legal basis is our legitimate interest in answering enquiries (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR). We delete the data as soon as it is no longer required in order to deal with the enquiry. If an order results from it, the statutory retention periods apply.
6. Applications
Applicants can send us their application documents by e-mail. The processing takes place exclusively for the purpose of carrying out the application procedure in accordance with Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR and Section 26 BDSG. If no employment relationship comes about, application documents are deleted once the application procedure has been completed, taking statutory retention periods into account, unless consent to longer storage has been given.
7. Cookies and storage in the browser
Our website uses cookies and comparable technologies such as the local storage of your browser (local storage and session storage). Technically necessary is the storage of your cookie settings, of the language you have chosen and of your entries in the enquiry form until you send it. The legal basis for this is Section 25(2) no. 2 TDDDG in conjunction with Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR.
We use cookies and similar technologies for analysis and marketing purposes only after you have given your consent (Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR, Section 25(1) TDDDG). Your consents are managed through the cookie settings of this website. They are part of the website itself; no third party service is integrated for this.
We store your decision in the cookie "pt_consent" on your device. It contains the time of the decision, the categories you have chosen and the version of the consent text. The storage period is 12 months; after that we ask again. We also ask again as soon as the consent text changes, for example because a service is added. We do not transmit this record to our server or to third parties.
You can change your settings at any time or withdraw your consent with effect for the future. You will find the entry "Cookie settings" in the footer of every page. If you switch everything off there and save, we reset the consent signals sent to Google and delete the cookies that Google has set for powertune.de.
8. Google Tag Manager
We use Google Tag Manager from Google Ireland Limited, Gordon House, Barrow Street, Dublin 4, Ireland. The Tag Manager manages the integration of further services on our website, for example Google Analytics and the conversion tracking of Google Ads. The Tag Manager itself does not evaluate any personal data.
The Tag Manager is only loaded once you switch on the category "Statistics" or "Marketing" in the cookie settings. As long as you have not done so, your browser does not establish any connection to Google when you visit our website. For technical reasons, your IP address is transmitted to Google when it is loaded. The legal basis is your consent in accordance with Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR and Section 25(1) TDDDG. Further information: policies.google.com/privacy
9. Google Analytics 4
Insofar as you have given your consent, we use Google Analytics 4, a web analytics service of Google Ireland Limited, Gordon House, Barrow Street, Dublin 4, Ireland. Google Analytics allows us to analyse user behaviour on our website. Among other things, the following information is processed:
- Pages visited
- Time spent
- Click behaviour
- Device information
- Browser information
- IP address (shortened or anonymised)
The processing takes place exclusively on the basis of your consent in accordance with Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR and Section 25(1) TDDDG. The data collected can also be processed by Google on servers in the USA; the transfer is based on the adequacy decision of the EU Commission on the EU-US Data Privacy Framework, under which Google is certified. Further information: support.google.com/analytics, policies.google.com/privacy
10. Google Ads conversion tracking
With your consent we use the conversion tracking of Google Ads from Google Ireland Limited, Gordon House, Barrow Street, Dublin 4, Ireland. With it we measure the success of our advertising campaigns and see whether a Google ad has led to a visit or to an enquiry. For this purpose Google uses cookies and similar technologies.
After a project enquiry has been sent successfully, our website reports to Google Ads that an enquiry has been received. In doing so we transmit the reference number of the enquiry, so that the same enquiry is not counted twice. We do not transmit names, project descriptions or files. Insofar as we use the function "enhanced conversions", your e-mail address is transmitted to Google in addition, not in plain text but as a hash value (SHA-256). Google compares this value with signed in Google accounts in order to improve the measurement.
Advertising is not personalised. We do not keep any remarketing or audience lists, we do not address you again with ads because of your visit, and we place ads exclusively in Google Search. The consent signal for personalised advertising ("ad_personalization") therefore remains switched off permanently, even if you switch on the category "Marketing" in the cookie settings. Your consent in the category "Marketing" relates solely to the measurement of success described above.
The legal basis is your consent in accordance with Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR and Section 25(1) TDDDG. You can withdraw it at any time in the cookie settings. Google can transfer data to the USA; the transfer is based on the adequacy decision of the EU Commission on the EU-US Data Privacy Framework, under which Google is certified. Further information: policies.google.com/privacy
11. Google Maps
On our contact page you can display a map from the Google Maps service. The provider is Google Ireland Limited, Gordon House, Barrow Street, Dublin 4, Ireland. The map is only loaded once you click on "Load map". Only then does your browser establish a connection to Google and transmit, among other things, your IP address; Google can set cookies in the process. The legal basis is your consent given by that click (Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR, Section 25(1) TDDDG). The links "Plan a route" open Google Maps in a new window; data is only transmitted once you follow such a link. Further information: policies.google.com/privacy
12. Tidio Live Chat
We use the live chat service Tidio in order to deal with customer enquiries. The provider is Tidio LLC, 180 Steuart Street, San Francisco, CA 94105, USA. When the chat is used, the following data in particular can be processed:
- Name
- E-mail address
- Chat history
- IP address
- Device information
The processing takes place in order to deal with your enquiry and to improve our customer service. It cannot be ruled out that personal data is processed on servers outside the European Union. Where necessary, the data transfer takes place on the basis of appropriate safeguards in accordance with Art. 44 et seq. GDPR. The legal basis is Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR and Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR. Further information: tidio.com/privacy-policy
13. Fonts and 3D presentations
The fonts of our website and the program library for 3D presentations (three.js) are stored on our own web server and are delivered from there. When our website is called up, no connection to Google Fonts or to other external providers is established for this purpose; personal data is not transmitted to third parties in this context. The legal basis is our legitimate interest in a consistent and appealing presentation of our online offering in accordance with Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR.
14. Wordfence Security
In order to protect our website against unauthorised access, malware and cyber attacks we use the security plugin Wordfence. The provider is Defiant Inc., USA. Wordfence processes, among other things:
- IP addresses
- Access information
- Security relevant event data
The processing takes place on the basis of our legitimate interest in the security and integrity of our website in accordance with Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR. Further information: wordfence.com/privacy-policy
15. Links to social networks and to further offerings
Our website contains links to our profiles on LinkedIn and Instagram as well as to the websites of WEKAS and Powercable. These are simple links, not embedded plugins: data is only transmitted to the respective providers once you follow a link. The respective provider is responsible for the processing on the linked pages.
16. Storage period
We store personal data only for as long as this is necessary for the respective processing purposes or as long as statutory retention obligations exist. Once the respective purpose no longer applies or statutory retention periods have expired, the corresponding data is routinely deleted or its processing is restricted.
17. Rights of the data subjects
Within the framework of the applicable statutory provisions you have the following rights:
- Right of access: You have the right to request information about the personal data we process.
- Right to rectification: You have the right to request the rectification of inaccurate personal data or the completion of incomplete personal data.
- Right to erasure: You have the right to request the erasure of your personal data, provided that the statutory requirements for this are met.
- Right to restriction of processing: You have the right to request the restriction of the processing of your personal data, insofar as the statutory requirements are met.
- Right to data portability: You have the right to receive the personal data concerning you in a structured, commonly used and machine readable format or to request that it be transmitted to another controller.
- Right to withdraw consent: You can withdraw consent you have given at any time with effect for the future. The lawfulness of the processing carried out up to the withdrawal remains unaffected.
18. Right to object
Insofar as we process personal data on the basis of Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR, you have the right to object at any time, on grounds relating to your particular situation, to the processing of your personal data. If personal data is processed for the purposes of direct advertising, you have the right to object at any time to processing for the purpose of such advertising.
19. Right to lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority
You have the right to lodge a complaint with a data protection supervisory authority about the processing of your personal data by us. The supervisory authority responsible for our company is in particular:
Bayerisches Landesamt für Datenschutzaufsicht (BayLDA)
Promenade 18
91522 Ansbach
Germany
Phone: +49 (0) 981 1800930
E-mail: poststelle@lda.bayern.de
20. Data security
We use technical and organisational security measures in order to protect your personal data against accidental or deliberate manipulation, loss, destruction or against unauthorised access by third parties. Our security measures are continuously improved in line with technological development. The transmission between your browser and our website is encrypted with TLS.
21. Validity and amendment of this privacy policy
This privacy policy is currently valid and is as at September 2026. As our website is developed further, as new technologies are introduced or because of changed legal or official requirements, it can become necessary to adapt this privacy policy. The version of the privacy policy that is valid at any given time can be called up on our website at any time at https://powertune.de/en/privacy.
